Gusci is a vision, Gusci is a space-time connection between people who work the land, Gusci is the exaltation of what surrounds the final work, Gusci is line, plane and shape, Gusci is a tribute to the workers without whom a show cannot go on stage, shells are the natural armor that protects the seed source of life, then of strength and finally of hope

The realization of "Shells" wanted to follow the technical and formal work with which I was confronted in China.

Technically we have juxtaposed different refractory lands in the search for that crack which was a wonderful design of the time in the original sculptures of the terracotta soldiers. On a formal level, however, we worked by combining our most typical rigid planes with the curved shapes with which I had my first real challenge in the making of "Seven Warriors" in X'ian.

During Fuping's residency, although only I was present on site, I held a daily discussion via WeChat with my partner, for this reason, although the Chinese works bear my signature, we consider them the common work of our artistic duo.
